Frequently Asked Questions

Book and Film Inspired Travel FAQ

FAQ’s

I create custom travel itineraries inspired by books, films, and storytelling. Instead of generic vacation packages, your trip is designed around the stories you love—whether that’s Pride and Prejudice, Harry Potter, Outlander, Lord of the Rings, or cinematic destinations across Europe and beyond.

It’s travel designed around the worlds, settings, and locations from stories you connect with. That can include literary destinations, filming locations, historic sites, and real-world places that inspired your favorite books, films, and series.

I specialize in the UK, Ireland, and Europe, with story-inspired travel also available to destinations like New Zealand (Lord of the Rings), Hawaii (Jurassic Park), and theme park experiences like the Wizarding World at Universal Orlando.

No. While many trips are inspired by fantasy, film, and literature, the focus is on story-driven travel of all kinds—from Jane Austen’s England to modern film locations and everything in between.

After you reach out, we’ll start with your travel ideas, interests, and preferred destinations. From there, I design a fully customized itinerary with recommended stays, experiences, and location-based activities that bring your story to life.

Yes—I handle the booking of your trip for you so everything is secured and organized on your behalf. I also provide a complete, custom itinerary with all recommendations and details.

In some cases, you may choose to book certain components yourself (such as flights or specific experiences), but I’ll always guide you through exactly what needs to be booked and when, so nothing is confusing or left to chance.

Pricing depends on your itinerary, number of destinations, and the level of customization you’re looking for. Most planning is based on a flat planning fee structure, which is clearly outlined before we begin.

Not at all. I plan everything from short story-inspired weekends to multi-country immersive journeys. It all depends on the experience you want to create.

I work with travelers who love stories—readers, film lovers, fantasy fans, and anyone who wants a more meaningful way to experience the world. Many clients come with ideas, and others just know they want something different from a standard vacation.

This isn’t about selling pre-set packages or pushing specific suppliers. Every itinerary is designed from scratch around your story, your pace, and your interests—so the experience feels personal, not packaged.

Custom trip proposals usually take 5–10 business days after your consultation. The earlier we start, the better—especially for international or fandom-based travel that may involve specific tours, cruises, or accommodations.

Absolutely! I’ll take care of the logistics, but your input shapes the entire journey. You’ll review the proposal, give feedback, and approve every major decision. It’s your adventure—I just help bring it to life.

You can reach out through the contact page to start the conversation. From there, we’ll talk about your ideas and build your story-inspired journey together.

Yes—I also own and operate All Aboard Travel and Cruise, where I specialize in ocean cruises, river cruises, and general vacation planning. That side of my business focuses on traditional travel experiences like cruises, resorts, and packaged vacations.

Beyond the Pages Travel is my specialty brand focused specifically on book and film inspired travel—custom itineraries built around stories, filming locations, and literary destinations.

Both sides of my business are fully supported by my travel industry certifications and experience, but they serve different types of travel experiences depending on what you’re looking for.

At minimum, you’ll need a valid passport (check the expiration date—some countries require 6 months’ validity). Depending on the destination, you may also need a visa, travel insurance, or health documentation. I’ll guide you through all requirements specific to your trip.
